With some more powerful cold fronts passing through we have had to switch up our fishing a bit.

The biggest change I have had to make this week was slowing down bait presentations.

For example I have been cutting the tails off of the greenbacks, so they sit in one spot instead of running all around an area.  Also while fishing artificials we have began to slow down bait presentations to a slow crawl on cooler morning to produce some decent snook, redfish and trout.

One cool catch this week was that we got into some baby tarpon in a back creek in Bradenton,Fl.

My clients were able to land one Tarpon and fly 6 Tarpon on artificial lures which is a feat in and of itself. We were legally able to take this fish out of the water since it was less than 40″ in total length.

If you’re looking to catch  some fish while visiting for Christmas now is the time to book.

I have a few opening left and would love to share a day on the water with you in Tampa bay and Bradenton.

If you’re looking to get a very special gift for that special outdoors man or lady please consider purchasing a gift certificate.
