This Week's St. Petersburg Fishing Report
Fishing around St. Petersburg has remained productive this week despite changing weather patterns. Morning tides have produced the best action, with clean water along many of the grass flats and mangrove shorelines throughout Tampa Bay.
Snook continue feeding aggressively around docks, mangroves, and tidal points during low-light periods. Redfish are being caught around oyster bars, potholes, and shallow grass flats, while speckled trout have been holding over deeper grass during the warmer parts of the day.
Nearshore anglers have also found success targeting mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, and other seasonal species when conditions allow.
