Here is Capt. Clay’s Tampa Bay tarpon forecast for the 2013 tarpon season. This is the 2013 forecast based on the tides, moon phases, and my log books from past tarpon seasons.
KEY:
Red Dates = Probably Poor.
White Dates = Should be pretty good.
Yellow Dates = Should be even better.
Green Dates = Has potential for “awesomeness”.
***Keep in mind that this is a forecast and dates listed as poor could be great and vice versa. However, this is an educated forecast based on factors listed above. ****The full moon in June is tough. And, the days leading up to it are usually awesome. But, going from excellent to poor (leading up to the full moon) can happen over night and this forecast could be off a day or two one way or the other depending on how the tarpon react to this years June full moon. *****We tarpon fish all the way through mid September but the fishing in August and September is not as predictable.
