Fishing in Tampa Bay and Bradenton this week has been very productive.

Clients have been able to pick what baits they want to use.  We have had the options of Greenbacks, which are the filet mignon for most of our inshore species. It’s hard for them to resist them especially during this time of year when the areas resident species, redfish, snook, and trout are thinking about one thing. Getting fat for winter. This Phenomenon happens every year and I’m always eager to put clients on fish that are eager to hit just about anything.

Redfish have been eager to eat baits that are slowly moved at ambush points along  deep dropoff’s and the edges of  sandbars or in potholes holding mullet during the full moon’s negative low tides.

My go to  artificial baits of choice are:

Mirrolure Mirro-dines in redfish or trout pattern. (see Pics below.)

Articulus 1/8th ounce jighead with these baits on them:

Mirrodine “Lil John”

Berkley gulp “new penny shrimp”
