With the warming weather quickly approaching the fishing has seriously been heating up!
WE have been catching Mackeral and sharks almost every cast.
The big Spanish Mackeral have pushed into the bay and offer some of the best fishing tampa has to offer. Constant action and their willingness to eat, and the fact that they are decent table fare make Mackeral on my top hitlist for this month. We also have been getting our limits of sheepshead.
The whitebait it still a few weeks away from pushing into the flats, so shrimp and cutbait has been the preferred bait to present to these fish.
Redfish have been cooperating in between the coldfronts and I have been doing well on artificial with them.
I’m really looking forward to the warmup.
Some big trout have been caught on cut bait and artificial.
