Last week I had the opportunity to participate once again in the Cystic Fibrosis charity tournament held each year down in Boca Grande.
I fished with Repeat Clients and we had a complete blast!
I love Boca Grande because I can honestly get away from other boats and it feels a lot more like what I remember growing up and fishing. Peaceful, still, and just lots of fish.
Although, this year we fell short of getting the Grand slam, (Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, and trout) we did manage to hook a tarpon for a brief moment, and just absolutely caught fish almost the entirety of each day. We caught mostly snook, with trout, Mackeral, Jacks, and Bluefish in the mix.
We have had a crazy amount of wind the last few weeks and I’m looking forward to it diminishing hopefully.
If you’re looking to get on a great bite before the weather gets super warm now is the time.
