October is one of my favorite times of year to take clients fishing. Shorter days and cooler mornings
trigger a whole smorgasbord of fishing that in only surpassed by our sprintime fishery.
October in Tampa means Huge schools of Redfish, Snook have began to work their way back from the beaches and into the Mouths of creeks and rivers thoughout Tampa Bay. Trout fishing is about as good as it get right now. Almost every Flat has been holding large sized trout.
Pelagics are also starting to show up in masse. Tripletail, cobia and kingfish are all on the Table in October and I expect to start putting clients on them at any point this month.
If you’re looking for something to do that’s outdoors. Now is the time to go! The weather is perfect and the fishing is hot!
