Spring is in the air!
Bait is still a real pain to get every morning so we have been pushing most of our charters to 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. pickup from the dock.
Snook have begun to make their transition from the back of the creeks and out front into the flats adjacent to their winter locations.
Big pushes of redfish have made their way into Tampa Bay, but they have been heavily pressured by other fishermen. We have been finding our own fish away from the crowds that are more than willing to eat live bait!
The trout bite has been pretty slow, I fear that we lost a huge amount of our trout population during last year’s red tide event. We’re still catching them, but not the numbers in previous years.
