What a great tarpon season we’ve had so far! Tarpon are all over area beaches, passes and bridges. The most fun is on the beaches and passes where you can literally watch thousands of tarpon roll, splash, crash and more while you prepare to fight one.
Fish are averaging between 80lbs and 120lbs with fish pushing the 200lb mark have been brought boat side on recent trips.
Hard outgoing tides in the afternoons and anytime bright and early have produced bites while most other times have seen threadfin herring get crushed by these big tarpon.
There’s about a month left to get in on the bite for big tarpon so if you want to go this year, check out my availability here and book a trip online.
Or, feel free to call me any time if you have any questions!
