The weather has been considerably warming up and so is Tampa Bay’s water Temperature.
Bait has been exceptionally plentiful throughout the bay and the fish have been getting fat off of it.
My main struggle in the last few weeks has been to try and keep my clients and myself out of the crowds. This time of year everyone and every boat and jet skier is out in full force. Which is why I make a point to spend a little extra fuel and effort to make a run further away so that we can have spots to ourselves. Getting away from the crowds has been working We have been catching Trout, Mackeral, Bluefish, Snook, Sharks, and an occasional redfish.
May fishing in Tampa Bay should continue to be hot with this weeks rain.
Other Species I have been keeping my eye on are Tarpon and cobia. They have been crawling all over Tampa Bay. I have seen tarpon even on the Flats while trout fishing. A few days of calm weather and I’ll have some Silver kings boat side!
If you’re looking to get on some Tarpon or big sharks please give me a call.
